The Lebanese Democratic Women’s Gathering (RDFL) is a secular non-governmental women organization active in the field of advancing the cause of woman and empowering her status in all aspects of life. Since its foundation in 1976 by a group of women activists, RDFL has implemented programs in the fields of education on woman’s human rights, eliminating violence against woman and promoting woman empowerment in social, economic and political spheres. The programs aim at the empowerment of woman in social, economic and political fields.
SMEX
Founded in 2008, SMEX is a Lebanese NGO that develops media and information literacy, expands knowledge of internet policy and governance, and advocates for human rights online throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) via research, training, and advocacy. A recognized point of reference in the MENA region on digital security in the human rights context, SMEX regularly supports human rights defenders in the region with digital security guidance and training – in particular, organizations focused on LGBTQI and women’s rights.
