About IM
IM is a values-based, independent member organisation that fights for an equal and compassionate world. We work globally in collaboration with local partners to enable people to lift themselves out of poverty and exclusion through their own efforts. We strive for a sustainable world, based on international human rights standards, and we reject all forms of discrimination.
Annual Reports
Here you will find IM’s Annual Reports where you can read about some of the results that we achieved with our partner organisations during the years.
History of IM
The movement, which was eventually named IM (Individuell Människohjälp), is the result of the courage, drive and very strong passion of one young woman, Britta Holmström, who founded the organisation in 1938.
Our organisation
IM is a member based organisation with about 6,000 members in Sweden. The commitment and support of members and active volunteers is at the centre of our identity.
Where we are
IM collaborates with partners in fifteen countries in six areas of the world. Here you will find more information about our work in all countries.

Make a complaint
Partner organisations, members, volunteers, board members, advisors, rights-bearers and others affected by IM’s operations are all welcome to voice their complaints if we don’t live up to the commitments that we communicate in our steering documents.
